Tarek Fatah hates Muslims and Islam?

Tarek Fatah is wrongly disliked by a large group of Muslims in India because they think he hates Islam and Muslims. He doesn't care much about this fact but I do because I want at least Indian Muslims to try understanding his ideas.

First, does he support Hindu Extremists and think of Indian Muslims to be non-patriots?

In Literati Fest, Chandigarh 2016 Tarek said:

These people who go around butchering people just for a cow, I haven't seen them taking care of cows in the street they are roaming around. Who are these people? They need to be sent to doctors. They need detoxification of their minds. They are going against Hinduism. Imagine the scripts that say your right is to work only but never with its fruits.

Tarek Fatah's conversation with Ezra Levant (The Rebel Media) 2017:

If you want to name your child the moon and you pick not the Indian word for it which is 'Chaand' but pick the Arab word for it or the Persian word for it, what's in your mind? Still, your child has been named as the moon. The Indian, Pakistani Muslim is not going to embrace anything Indian except the cuisine.

So you are talking about patriotism?

Fatah:

No, I am talking about a frame of mind. They are patriots. But in the language, in the script being used of those who conquered and destroyed India, I can not as a Muslim of Indian origin celebrate that invader.

Second and which is more important, Does Tarek Fatah hate Islam?

Islamism is not Islam. He is a critic of Islamism and Islamism means Islamic fundamentalism or militancy. He also hates celebration of invaders of India by Indian Muslims, using their script of language and rejecting Indian tradition. Indian Muslims are Indians why should they love the people who murdered and raped their ancestors? He believes that Islam was established the time Quran was written completely and therefore Hadith and Sharia are not Islam but only Quran. So only the Quran is Islam for him and nothing else and also he wants the interpretation of the Quran to be in the context of modern times. That's it.

While living in Canada and not Saudi Arabia or Pakistan why will he hate Islam and still remain a believing Muslim?
